Classic Uttapam with a wack of difference
Ingredients for batter
- Idli Rice or Parboiled Rice (1 & 1/2 cup)
- Urad Dal (1/2 cup) /whole or split
- Methi Seeds or Fenugreek Seeds (1/2 tsp)
- Water (2 cups approx.)
Directions
- Go to the market and get ready made batter 😀
Ingredients for garnishing
- Onions & Tomato
- Jalapenos, Ginger & Garlic
- Mushrooms
Directions
- Finely dice the vegetables
- Mix them together and add Salt and Pepper to taste
- Heat the pan
- Spread the batter with a ladle and garnish it with the vegitables
- cover the batter with a lid and let it cook on low flame
- Flip the Uttapam when cooked from one side
- Serve it hot and eat with a Green Chutney 🙂
